A rare breakdown on Lihou
Thankfully system breakdowns are rare these days. The house seems to be running well. However when a call for assistance comes in on a day like today it's hardly a hardship to attend.
June Weekends Available
Due to some unusual cancellations we have had two weekends become available to book for this June in Lihou House.
Second member of staff for The Lihou Charitable Trust
The Trust is please to announce that we have appointed a part time member of staff to help the warden. This will enable The Trust to continue to progress and improve the facilities and services that can be offered to both school and private groups.
50th Anniversary of The SS Torrey Canyon Oil Spill
50 years ago today the SS Torey Canyon oil tanker ran aground when taking a short cut between the Scilly Isles and Lands End. The effects were felt over a huge area including Guernsey and Lihou Island.
