Operator and all those around the vehicle

  • The tractor is to be operated ONLY by the warden or a nominated experienced tractor driver
  • No persons allowed to load or unload the transport link box whilst the tractor is running
  • No persons should walk directly behind or in front of the tractor due to the restricted visibility caused by any attached implements
  • No persons under the age of 18 are permitted to travel in the link box or on any trailer being tow by or attached to the tractor
  • When the tractor is moving all persons should remain at least 20 metres from it or any appliance attached to it and ensure the operator has seen them and acknowledge their presence before approaching

Falls from any trailers that may periodically be used to transport equipment and supplies

  • Persons loading and unloading the trailer are to do so under the direct supervision of a responsible adult
  • The tractor must be stopped with the handbrake on whilst all loading and unloading takes place
