Disabling the Fire Systems

Important: This must only be done in exceptional circumstances and the warden must be informed prior to doing so

1.       Go to the Fire Alarm Control Panel by the back door from the kitchen to the outside

2.       On the side of the Fire Alarm Control Panel there is a key – The key will be turned to the ON position

3.       Turn the key to the OFF position

4.       Go to the boiler room and locate the main fuse board to the right

5.       On the middle row and approximately in the middle there will be a circuit breaker marked Fire Alarms in blue writing – flick this switch down

6.       The fire alarm system is now disabled

To enable the fire alarm system do the above in reverse but then in addition press Reset on the face of the Fire Alarm Control Panel
