In 1995 the States of Guernsey bought Lihou Island and house in order to guarantee the people of Guernsey and visitors alike, access to this beautiful and inspiring Island.
The Lihou Charitable Trust took over the lease for the island in 2006 in order to continue the work started by The States by ensuring that the House on the island remain as a facility open to all. The House is orientated towards youth and school groups but also accommodates adult gatherings for any purpose from workshops to parties. The Trust has a 'Robin Hood' scale of charges that benefit the young. These charges are available on the prices page.
The house is now available to be booked by groups for single night, weekend or multiple night stays. Other activities such as archery, climbing and abseiling etc. are also available for groups upon request.
